How to Tag Items
|
- We no longer mail tags with barcode orders, therefore all registration fees are now $12
- To make tags, use the tag template (Download) and print on cardstock or use 3×5 index cards (vertically)
- You can pre-purchase tags from us at any sale 100 for $1
- Group clothes by size & sex for quicker drop-off
- Enter a “D” if you’d like the item to be donated, the size and a brief, yet catchy description for each item.
- Leave space at the bottom of the tag for barcode label REQUIRED.
- Affix barcode labels to the bottom of the tag for each item.
- Please only use safety pins to attach the tags to clothing, blankets, etc. This prevents tags from falling off and fingers from getting pricked. For extra security, consider placing tape over the safety pin.
- If you use a tagging gun, consider tagging our tag to the original garment tag.
- Use STRONG tape, string or zip-ties to attach cards to plastic toys.
- For odd shaped toys and other non-clothes items: If the tag can’t be securely attached with packing tape, zip tie or safety pin, please affix barcode directly to the object.
- For shoes: Zip tie shoes together and place a smaller version of the tag or just the barcode label on the inside sole of the shoe. If you use the barcode only, jot the size on the barcode label.
- FOR ADDED SECURITY: Place a piece of packing tape over each tag, making sure to cover the safety pin and barcode. This can help prevent tag switching.
- We use large item claim tickets for items that are too bulky for shoppers to carry. You will need to plan on filling one out for each large item you have and your original tag/barcode will be stapled to the claim ticket.
